As a Lead Designer at a successful consultancy, I create and manage the development of interactive user experiences on multiple, diverse projects—controls for hospital and home medical devices, consumer tablet apps, and desktop software tools.
During my 13 years in design consulting, I have worked with over fifty repeat clients, carrying projects from early concept to successful completion. I've provided UX strategy and design advice to a host of clients, including Baxter Healthcare, Eaton Corporation, Philips, and Bayer.
This role has allowed me to lead project teams of 2-4 designers, and to develop a noted skill at facilitating client brainstorms and decision-making meetings. I define best practices and processes for our team, outline budgets, manage resources, and cultivate good client relationships. I've worked on-site at a client for an extended period, gaining experience akin to being an in-house designer.
